Rolla, Mo. - The SBU women's soccer team traveled to Missouri S&T to take on the Miners in a conference matchup today. The Bearcats earned themselves another point toward conference standings by ending the game in a 1-1 tie. They move to 1-4-4 (0-2-3 GLVC) on the season.

Stefan Skillman said, "We had some great build up play and ball movement. We controlled the game and had very little frantic moments."
The miners struck first scoring in the first 7 minutes of the game putting SBU behind 0-1. A foul inside the box against Freshman
Abbey Klund, sent the Bearcats to the penalty spot. The Bearcats main penalty taker, Sophomore
Abby Harrison, stepped up and sent to the ball into the bottom right corner to tie the game at 1. Behind the Bearcat defense and goalkeeper
Ashlynn Edison, four saves on the day, kept the game tied at one earning them their third point of Conference play.
"I am really proud of how we played today as a team." Said Junior
Madison Bollin, "We all worked for each other and the subs off the bench mad a big impact today. It wasn't the result we were wanting, but today was light for what this team is capable of. Roll Cats!"
SBU will return to action on Sunday afternoon where they travel to Missouri St. Louis to take on the Tritons. The match is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
