Youngblood Scores First Career Goal in Loss to Tritons

St. Louis, Mo. – The SBU Women's Soccer team finished up their road trip against the University of Missouri – St. Louis Tritons this afternoon. The Bearcats fell to the tritons by a final score of 1-2. This moves them to 1-5-4 (0-3-3 GLVC) on the season.
 
Both teams would remain scoreless until the Tritons would strike 19 minutes into the second half. A few minutes later the Tritons put away a penalty kick on their second try of the day. With just under 10 minutes remaining, Sophomore Abby Youngblood scored her first career goal making it a 1-2 game.
 
"I'm so lucky to be a part of a team that works so hard day in and day out." Youngblood said, "Each girl gives everything when they step out on the field, and we are getting better each game. Definitely looking forward to the rest of the season."
 
The Bearcats will return home next Friday, October 7th where they will take on Mckendree University. The game will take place on the SBU Soccer field and is scheduled to start at 4:00 PM.
