Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU volleyball team continued conference play today as they took on the Missouri S&T Miners at home. The Bearcats won the match 3-1, defeating the Miners for the first time in 12 years. They move to 10-6 (3-1 GLVC) and into a tie for 3
rd place in the conference standings.

The Bearcats battled for each point in the first two sets winning them 25-21 and 25-17. With the Miners being on the brink of a loss, Missouri S&T fought back winning set three. In set four, the teams never separated by more than three points until the Bearcats finished the match off a kill from Junior
Loran Pritchett winning 25-21.
Pritchett dominated the whole match achieving her second straight triple-double. She led the entire team in kills with 18, was second in assists with 12, and third in digs with 12. Her 19 total points contributed to 31% of the team's total points. Freshman
Bailey Lasater contributed a double-double with 21 assists and 10 digs.
"It's so fun to play these competitive games because we can come together as a team." Said Lasater, "We all just focus on the next point and it makes the game that much more fun!"
The Bearcats will look to continue their hot streak as they take on the #2 team in conference the Missouri St. Louis Tritons tomorrow. The match is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
