Rolla, Mo. – The SBU softball team took on the Maryville Saints in a conference doubleheader this afternoon at a neutral site. The Bearcats picked up their first conference win in game 1 and fell short in game 2. 

Game 1:  Win, 8-1 

• First conference win of season 
• Reilly Rupert pitches complete game (4-10)  
• 8 different Bearcats recorded hits 
• Meadow Vassar and Katlynn McConville led team with 2 hits a piece 
• 6 Bearcats recorded RBI's; Margo Frossard led team with 2 

"The girls came in ready the first game. Reilly Rupert is really doing a good job of setting the tone for her defense behind her right now. And our offense came in focused making their adjustments in that first game. We played clean defense and kept the game simple."- Head Coach Carly Adkins. 

Game 2: Loss, 0-7 

• Emma Wood started on the mound; took the loss (2-10) 
• Wood and Alissa Collette each threw three strikeouts 
• McConville and Kaitlyn Bagby each pick up a hit 

The Bearcats will play again Saturday, April 16^th as they travel to William Jewell to take on the Cardinals. First pitch is expected at noon.
