Bearcats Fall in Two Tight Games Against Cardinals

Liberty, Mo. – The SBU softball team traveled to William Jewell University this afternoon to take on the Cardinals in a GLVC doubleheader. The Bearcats fell in both games by only one run.  

Game 1: Loss, 0-1 

Game 2: Loss, 2-3 

  • Alissa Collette started; allowed one earned run and recorded the loss (0-5) 
  • Collette and Kora Lowe combined for five strikeouts 
  • Bearcats combined for 9 hits  
  • Gillmore and Abby Henson led team with two hits 
  • Gillmore recorded the sole RBI 

The softball team will be back in action Saturday April 23rd, as they travel to Illinois-Springfield. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
