Bolivar, Mo- The SBU softball team took on the Lindenwood Lions at home in a doubleheader this afternoon. The Bearcats offense struggled to get going against their GLVC opponent and lost both games, moving to 6-20 (0-8 GLVC) on the season.

In game one, the Bearcats struggled early allowing five runs in the first inning. The Lions would only score two more runs throughout the game, finishing the game with seven. Bearcats were able to get 5 hits throughout the game but couldn't knock any in leaving seven total runners on base.

The story was the same in game two, where the Lions started off hot scoring five runs in the first two innings. The Bearcats got under control after the second, not allowing another run throughout the game. SBU's offense recorded one extra hit in this game with a total of six but stranded a total of 10 runners on the bases.

Katlynn McConville each recorded two hits in this game.

Bearcats will turn right around and host the Maryville Saints in a doubleheader Sunday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled to start at 12:00 PM.
