Pittsburg, Ks. - The SBU Softball team traveled to Pitt St. today to take on the Gorillas in a double header. The Bearcats scored first in both games but were unable to hold the lead. They lost game one, 2-11 and game two, 3-10. That moves the Bearcats to 2-4 on the season.

In game one,
Margo Frossard started out the scoring hitting her first career homerun putting the Bearcats up 1-0. The Gorillas would go on to score 11 unanswered runs, before the Bearcats scored one more in the top of the 5
th. SBU had 3 total hits in the game with Frossard having 2 of those.

In game two, the Bearcats opened the scoring again where
Renae Gillmore scored from third off an error. SBU scored 2 more runs throughout the game with 6 hits. Frossard had two of those giving her 4 hits on the day.

The Bearcats have 17 days off before they travel to Springfield for the Drury invitational, first taking on Northwest Missouri State. That game is scheduled to take place on Saturday February 26
th, at 10:00 AM.
