Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU men's basketball competed in their final home game of 2022 against Central Christian College of the Bible this evening. The Bearcats dominated the Saints winning the game 100-62. That moves them to 7-3 on the season.
"I thought our guys did a good job, I thought early we moved the ball really well, even in the first half when we weren't hitting our three's. I told the guys we were 66% on our two-point attempts and I thought that was a reflection of our movement and the way we were passing the ball and cutting." Head Coach
Clark Sheehy said.
The Bearcats were lights out from the field shooting 63% in the game. Eleven Bearcats scored in the game going 43 of 68 from the field and 10 of 23 from beyond the arc. Sophomore
Drew McMillin led the entire team in scoring with 19 points, hitting a career high five three pointers. Five other Bearcats also scored in double digits.
Southwest Baptist will play in two more games before heading into Christmas break as they travel to Quincy, Illinois. They will compete in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home Classic and take on Lake Superior State this Saturday and East-West on Sunday. Each game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM.
