Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU men's basketball took on the Ecclesia Royals in the Meyer Center this evening. The Bearcats controlled the game all the way winning 76-45, moving them to 4-0 on the season. This is the first 4-0 start by this program since 2011.
"Our guys have really worked hard, and we have made some progress. I thought you saw that for the first half and for portions of the second half." Head Coach
Clark Sheehy said, "think we are getting better, that's an encouraging sign, there's a lot of room for improvement and need to get better at."
The Bearcats held out defensively holding the Royals to only 21% from the field while also out rebounding them 47 to 25. Four Bearcats scored in double digits including
Noah Franklin (13),
RJ Crawford (12), Drenin Dinkins (14), and
Drew McMillin (10). Senior
Mitch Ganote led the team in both rebounds and assists with seven a piece in only 17 minutes played.
Southwest Baptist men's basketball will return to action Saturday November 26
th as they begin conference play against Missouri S&T. Tipoff is scheduled for 3:00 PM. The Bearcats hold an all-time record of 7-3 record against the miners.
