Hammond, Ind. – The SBU volleyball team kicked of the Midwest Region Crossover Challenge this afternoon as they took on Ursuline College. The Bearcats swept the Arrows winning 3-0. That moves them to 12-9 on the season.

Loran Pritchett kills. They rolled on to dominate the next two sets winning 25-17 and 25-12.
Senior
Sydney Ernsbarger couldn't be stopped, connecting on 6 out of her 7 attempted attacks for a hitting percentage of .714. Junior
Loran Pritchett led the team in kills with 11 and a .381 hitting percentage. Sophomore
Julia Becker and Freshman
Bailey Lasater had 17 and 15 assists respectively. Sophomore
Aleena Peterson dominated the back row leading the team in digs with 16 averaging over 5 per set.
"It was a good game to start the tourney, hope we can have another good day tomorrow!" Ernsbarger said.
The Bearcats will return to action tomorrow as they have two more matches in the tournament. They will begin the day at 11:30 against Kentucky Wesleyan College then finish against Lake Superior State at 4:30 PM, a team they have already beaten this year.
