St. Charles, Mo. - The SBU Volleyball team was back in action Saturday afternoon, taking on the Lions of Lindenwood. The match finished 3-2 in favor of Lindenwood, in a very close match. With the loss, SBU drops to 5-7 (1-3 GLVC).
In the first set, SBU found themselves trailing 24-22, but rallied back and won the last four points to take it 26-24. Lindenwood dominated the second set 25-8 to even the score at 1-1. The third set was more even, and the Bearcats took it, 25-18. A very exciting fourth set took quite a few extra points, but ended up in favor of the Lions, 31-29. In the decisive fifth set, the hosts won 15-9 to take the match 3-2. Three Bearcats had double-digit kills-

Loran Pritchett had 42 assists and 6 blocks on the night, both team highs. The digs category was led by
Aleena Peterson with 29.
The team continues play on Tuesday, September 28 at 7:00 PM as they travel to Liberty, MO to face the William Jewell Cardinals.
