Bolivar, Mo. - The Men's Soccer team hosted the Hawks of Rockhurst Sunday afternoon. The physical match went to the Hawks, 2-0. The Bearcats record move to 0-4 (0-2 GLVG).
Southwest Baptist started early, taking shots in the early minutes of the game. Kevin Zavala, Danny Parrish, and Pierre Barilly were Bearcats with shots recorded in the match. After quite a bit of physicality, the Hawks found a way to score. The Bearcats continued to fight and kept on taking shots with the help of Isaiah Waddy. Rockhurst scored again late in the 2nd, resulting in a 2-0 final. Will vanHoornbeek was able to snag 9 saves for the Bearcats.
The Bearcats will be traveling to Rolla, MO to battle against Missouri S&T on September 24 at 7:30 PM.
