Bolivar, Mo. – Southwest Baptist started their final series of the year with a 12-1 loss against Drury. This makes their record 16-21 (12-20 GLVC) for the season.
 
Zack Ehlen got the game started for the Bearcats with a walk and stealing second and third base but couldn't cross the plate for the game's first run. Drury got the scoring started in the second inning with 2 runs. The Bearcats got their first run when Sam Avila drove in Jackson Soule after he hit a triple with one out in the inning. Colby Sneed led the Bearcats with 2 hits in 3 plate appearances. Jackson Soule scored the lone run for the Bearcats in the 8^th inning. Blake Lutgen and Hayden Crabtree had the other hits for the Bearcats. Kyle Smith drew the start and Jacob Martin finished off the last inning with a strikeout and forcing the other two batters into groundouts.
 
Southwest Baptist will play a doubleheader tomorrow starting at 4:00 for games 2 and 3 of the final home series.
