Romeoville, Ill. – The SBU men's tennis team continued their success in their match Saturday afternoon. Against the Missouri-St. Louis Tritons in the GLVC Semifinal Round, the Bearcats defeated the Tritons 4-0 to advance to the GLVC Finals.
 
Youssef Nabil and Adham Gaber kicked things off with a dominating 6-0 win on court 2 of doubles play. David Szeri and Alvaro Nunez followed shortly after with a 6-4 victory of their own on court 3, claiming the doubles point.
 
Alvaro Nunez secured the second point for SBU on court 3, defeating his opponent 6-4, 6-2. Following Nunez, Carlos Corser won his match on court 2, 6-2, 1-6, 6-1. The match was sealed by David Szeri on court 4, claiming a 6-4, 7-6 victory to win the match 4-0. Adham Gaber was ahead 7-5, 5-4, Youssef Nabil was up 7-6, 3-4 on court 5, and Max Sanoja looked to win court 6 by scores of 6-4, 4-6, 3-0 when the match was called.
 
The Bearcats will play in the GLVC Finals on Sunday, May 2 at 12:00 PM against the Indianapolis Greyhounds.
