Rolla, Mo. – Southwest Baptist got the bats going early in a big 12-2 win over Missouri S&T. This makes the Bearcats record to 15-18 (11-17 GLVC) for the season.
 
Jackson Soule got the scoring started with an 0-2 count and hitting a single up the middle to score Colby Sneed and Sam Avila followed up when he scored Rhys Cratty. Zack Ehlen drove two in two more runs in the second along with Colby Sneed driving in Ehlen to make it 5-0. The Bearcats would go on to score 7 more runs in the final 6 innings to pull out the victory 12-2. Jackson Soule led the Bearcats with 3 hits in 5 appearances along with Eli Smoch having 3 hits in 4 appearances. Colby Sneed led the Bearcats in RBIs with 3 on the game.
 
The Bearcats will have a doubleheader tomorrow at 12:00 and 3:00 for games 2 and 3 of the series.
 
This win over Missouri S&T marks the 200^th win for head coach Chris Martin who is the winningest coach in SBU history. Chris has been accompanied by Casey Martin in all ten seasons to lead the Bearcats to a historic mark.
