Springfield, Mo. – Rain in the forecast pushed the women's tennis match against Truman State to the Cooper Tennis Complex Saturday afternoon. Despite the change of scenery, the Bearcats dominated the Bulldogs 6-1. The win marks the team's 7
th straight win and puts them at 15-5 (5-0 GLVC) on the year.
 
All three doubles teams had the same final score, defeating their opponents 6-1. 
Catarina Zheng and 
Elsa Pascual finished first on court 2, followed by the #19 doubles team in 
Constanca Crespo and 
Dona Abohabaga on court 1, and wrapped up with 
Diana Cabrera and 
Lola Cincunegui on court 3.
 
SBU took their 1-0 lead into singles play and ran away with the match. 
Constanca Crespo didn't surrender a single game in her 6-0, 6-0 win on court 3, and 
Diana Cabrera followed with a strong 6-1, 6-0 victory on court 2. The match was sealed with a 6-2, 6-3 
Dona Abohabaga win on court 1. 
Catarina Zheng and 
Lola Cincunegui gave the Bearcats 6 points, winning 6-1, 6-0 on court 4 and 6-0, 6-2 on court 5. 
Emma Davis bounced back in her second set 6-4, but fell 10-7 in a decisive third set to make the score 6-1.
 
The regular season will conclude on Sunday, April 25 as the Bearcats host Quincy University for senior day. That match is scheduled to start at 12:00 PM.
