Bolivar, Mo. – Southwest Baptist started slow in the matchup with Drury and had a strong second half but came out on the wrong end of a 2-1 finish. This makes SBU's record 0-1-1 (0-1-1 GLVC) on the season.
Drury kicked off the match quickly, striking for two goals in the first 10 minutes of the match.
Jaden Hayes would get the Bearcats on the board quickly in the second half with a goal off of
Isaiah Waddy's pass to make it 2-1. Southwest Baptist would have another opportunity in the 78
th minute when
Pierre Lurot just missed a shot that would have evened the match back up.
Both teams finished with 10 shots on the game, but the Bearcats dominated the Panthers in the second half with 7 shots to the Panthers 4.

Will vanHoornbeek stayed strong on the back end with 4 saves including a one-on-one save late in the game to give the Bearcats hope. The rivalry was between the two teams was alive and well with 6 yellow cards being handed out between the two teams.
Southwest Baptist will be back in action on March 7 at 2:30 when Missouri S&T comes to town.
