St. Charles, Mo. – Southwest Baptist got their second conference win of the season and the first time doing so since restarting the program in 2012. The Bearcats beat Lindenwood 2-1 to make their record 2-2-1 (2-2-1 GLVC) for the season.
Lindenwood jumped out to an early lead with a goal in the 10
th minute but that would be their only goal of the match.
Francisco Gonzalez would tie it back up when the keeper came out of the goal and allowed an open net goal.
Luke Clingerman would cap off the comeback by weaving through the defense and firing the ball on goal.
Alberto Rodriguez led the Bearcats in shots with 4 as well as
Francisco Gonzalez contributing 2 shots and one goal.
Armani Morato had the assist on the second goal for the Bearcats as well.
Will vanHoornbeek finished the game with 5 saves in goal.
The Bearcats will be back in action on March 19 when they host Missouri-St. Louis at 7:30.
