Springfield, Mo. – The Women's Tennis team hosted former MIAA rival Northwest Missouri State Friday evening. The match was SBU's home opener, but took place in Springfield at Cooper Tennis Complex due to weather. The #7 ranked SBU Bearcats picked up their fourth straight win, downing the green Bearcats 6-1 to improve to 8-3 on the year.
SBU dominated doubles play, outscoring the visitors by a combined 18-6. The doubles combinations were

Lola Cincunegui on court 3.
Northwest picked up their only point of the day on court 1 beginning singles competition.
Diana Cabrera helped SBU regain the lead with a 6-4, 6-0 win on court 2.
Constanca Crespo followed with a 6-7, 6-2, 6-2 win on court 3, and
Catarina Zheng sealed the victory after defeating her opponent 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 on court 4.
Elsa Pascual and
Lola Cincunegui also picked up a couple of wins on courts 5 and 6, making the final score 6-1.
The team will play again on Thursday, March 18 in Montgomery, AL. They will face Auburn University Montgomery and the University of West Alabama.
