Evansille, Ind. – Southwest Baptist faced off against two of the top teams in the GLVC in Southern Indiana and Truman State. The Bearcats lost to USI in 3 sets and also to Truman State in 3 sets to make their record 2-7 (2-7 GLVC) for the season.
Game One
The Bearcats jumped out to an early lead in the second set with a kill from
Loran Pritchett. SBU would keep the lead until the 9-7 point in the second set after Pritchett and
Lauren Compton each got a kill.
Ashley Lasher led the Bearcats with 6 kills followed by Pritchett with 5.
Loran Pritchett also had 13 assists to lead the Bearcats.
Lindsey Barton led SBU with 14 digs in the match.
Game Two
Southwest Baptist had a total of 25 kills in game two of the triangular match at Evansville but come out on the wrong end of the match with a 25-19, 25-21, 25-11 match loss for the second game of the day.
Ashley Lasher led the Bearcats on offense with 10 kills on the match. SBU finished with
Loran Pritchett (15),
Ashley Lasher (14), and
Lindsey Barton (12) all in double digits on digs for the match.
The Bearcats will be back in action on March 20 with a doubleheader against Indianapolis and Lindenwood at 2:00 and 7:00.
