Kansas City, Mo. – Southwest Baptist utilized the solid defense to pull out a 1-1 tie with the Rockhurst Hawks.
 
Rockhurst started with the ball in the match and drew a foul within the first 3 minutes that rewarded a yellow card to Race Roberts. The Hawks preceded to score in the 27^th minute to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. Francisco Gonzalez received a pass from Jonathan Prudencio that found the back of the net to tie it up at the 86^th minute mark and force an overtime. The Hawks outshot the Bearcats 4-2 in both overtimes but Will vanHoornbeek kept the score tied in the goal to finish the game in a tie 1-1.
 
Junior Francisco Gonzalez finished the game with 2 shots and one ending up in the net. Jonathan Prudencio helped to assist the goal made by Gonzalez in the late minutes of the game. Will vanHoornbeek finished with 7 saves on 14 shots by Rockhurst.
 
Southwest Baptist will be back in action on March 5 at 8:30 PM at home against Drury Univeristy.
