St. Louis, Mo. – The women's team was back in action Sunday evening, taking on the #4 ranked Indianapolis Greyhounds in St. Louis. UINDY defeated SBU 6-1, handing the Bearcats their first loss on the season. SBU now sits at 2-1 on the year.
 
Catarina Zheng and Elsa Pascual were able to win their doubles match on court 2, defeating their opponents 6-3. However, the Greyhounds won on courts 1 and 3 to take the doubles point.
 
UINDY sealed the victory by winning the singles matches on courts 1-3, 5, and 6. Elsa Pascual brought home SBU's lone point on the evening, winning a very exciting match on court 4, 7-6 (7-5), 6-7 (4-7), and 10-7 in the tiebreaker.
 
SBU will compete next at the ITA Indoor Nationals on Friday, February 26 against the Columbus State Cougars in Oklahoma City.
