Bolivar, Mo. – Southwest Baptist faced off against Lewis University but came up short and fell 60-85 in the end. This pushes the Bearcats record to 4-12 (4-12 GLVC) for the season.
The Bearcats fell down 7-2 early but
Regan Tibbits knocked down back-to-back shots to bring it back to a 1-point game. The lead would get back out to 8 before
Mary Rose Foster would knock down a jumper followed by
Brylee Graddy with a 3-pointer to make it 11-14 in favor of Lewis. SBU would cut it down to a 1-point lead with 1:40 remaining in the first quarter. The Bearcats outscored their opponent in the fourth quarter once again but couldn't stop the Flyers.
Regan Tibbits led the Bearcats with the first double-double for the season, finishing with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Tibbits also had 4 assists to lead the Bearcats.
Brylee Graddy set a career high in 3-pointers made with 3 while coming off the bench for 13 points.
Nyah Pettus also set a career high with 11 points off the bench.
Sydney Bandy led SBU on the defensive end with 3 steals and 3 other players had 2 steals. The Bearcats as a team forced the Flyers into 22 turnovers and had 24 points off those turnovers.
