Romeoville, Ill. - The SBU Volleyball team began their final road trip Friday evening, taking on #21 ranked Lewis University. The Flyers defeated the Bearcats in three sets, dropping SBU to 10-14 (5-8 GLVC).

Jumping out to a hot start, Lewis scored the first 4 points of the first set and didn't look back, taking it 25-10. SBU scored the first point in the second set and took a 2-1 lead, but a big run by the Flyers gave them control over the second set, 25-16. The third set saw more of the same, as the hosts took set three 25-11. Loran Pritchett (13 assists) and Aleena Peterson (10 digs) were the only Bearcats in double digits. Rachel Francis led the team with 8 kills.

The team continues play in Illinois tomorrow, taking on the Illinois Springfield Prairie Stars at 3:00 PM.
