Romeoville, Ill. - The Men's Soccer team battled against the Lewis Flyers Sunday afternoon, falling to the hosts by a score of 2-0. This makes the Bearcats record 1-12 (1-10 GLVC) for the year.
Within seven minutes of the game, Lewis scored the first goal of the match. Minutes later, Kevin Zavala kicked the ball bottom center, but it was saved. Late in the 1st half, the Flyers scored again to make the score 2-0. The Bearcats battled hard but were unable take the lead before time ran out. Will vanHoornbeek recorded nine saves for the Bearcats. Southwest Baptist fell short at the end to the Flyers with final score 2-0.
The Bearcats will be home to take on Truman State on October 29 at 1:30 PM at Plaster Stadium.
