Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU Volleyball team played host to the Missouri-St. Louis Tritons Saturday afternoon. In three sets, the Tritons defeated the Bearcats, dropping them to 10-13 (5-7 GLVC) on the year.
 
The visitors came out hot, taking the first set by a score of 25-12. SBU battled back and fought with UMSL in the second set, but fell 25-18. In a similar manner, the Bearcats kept up with the Tritons most of the third set, but ultimately lost 25-19. Deryan Simpson finished with an incredible 8 blocks in the game, Loran Pritchett and Azalea Clendinning each finishing with 3 as well. Pritchett also added 13 assists in the loss. The digs category was led by Paityn Kramer.
 
The team will hit the road one more time this season, beginning a four-match road stretch with Lewis University on October 29 at 7 PM.
