Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU Women's Soccer team took on the Indianapolis Greyhounds Friday evening. The Bearcats were defeated by the Greyhounds with the score 3-0. Southwest Baptist's record moves to 2-8-1 (2-7 GLVC) for the season.
Within 4 minutes of the game, the Bearcats took their first shot. Allyson Leiber hit the ball low center, but it was saved. Julia Johnson took a shot, but the goalie was ready. Seconds later, Reagan Edwards hit the ball, but it missed the net. Thirty minutes in the game, Racheal Wolecki fired a shot high center, but the ball was saved. A few minutes into the 2nd half, The Greyhounds scored to take the lead. Moments later, the Greyhounds scored again to make the score 2-0. Madigan May kicked the ball low left, but it was saved. Late 2nd half, the Greyhounds scored. Alli Harrington had 7 saves for Southwest Baptist. Despite all the shots the Bearcats took, they fell to the Greyhounds with the score 3-0.
Southwest Baptist will stay home to take on Southern Indiana on October 17th at 12 PM.
