Bolivar, Mo. - The Men's Soccer team played against the #2 nationally ranked Indianapolis Greyhounds Friday evening. The Bearcats fell short in the match 2-1, which makes the Bearcats record 0-11 (0-9 GLVC) for the year.
In the 1st half, Jonathan Prudencio took a shot, but it missed the net. Shortly after that, the Greyhounds scored the first goal. The Bearcats responded back by scoring and making the game 1-1. Xavier O'Garro headed the ball in off a corner kick and assist by Isaiah Waddy. In the middle of the 2nd half, Alberto Rodriguez kicked the ball bottom center, but it was saved. Pierre Barilly took a shot, but it was wide right. Late in the 2nd half, the Greyhounds scored again to take the lead. Willy Lusansu collected 10 saves in his first start for the Bearcats. SBU made a few hard pushes as time was running out, but their upset bid fell short, 2-1.
The team will remain home to take on Southern Indiana on October 17th at 2:30 PM.
