Kansas City, Mo. – Southwest Baptist used a big day at the free throw line to pull out a 77-67 win on the road. This improves the Bearcats record to 3-8 (3-8 GLVC) for the season.
Southwest Baptist found themselves down 6-13 with 4:20 remaining in the first quarter but used a 11-3 run in those final minutes to go into the second with a 1-point lead. Rockhurst would lead at the end of the half by 5-points.
Kyleigh Vaught would knock in 7 points along with 6 from
Regan Tibbits would help to tie it back up heading to the fourth quarter. Rockhurst would have their last lead of the game with 6:30 remaining in the game before the Bearcats would extend their lead with free throws at the end of the game.
Kyleigh Vaught led the Bearcats in scoring with 22 points and also in rebounding with 7 boards. The Bearcats ended the game with 32 made free throws on 40 attempts.
Natalie Basham (14),
Sydney Bandy (13), and
Regan Tibbits (12) also finished in double digits scoring. Tibbits grabbed 4 rebounds for the Bearcats which each of those being on the offensive end.
