Bolivar, Mo. – Southwest Baptist couldn't quite get the bats going today and fell to Augustana 9-3 and 13-0. This pushes the Bearcats record to 6-8 on the season.
 
Game One
The Vikings got on the board first with 2 in the top of the second followed by another run in the top of the third. Blake Lutgen would cut the deficit to just one run in the bottom of the third when he turned a fastball around and hit a no doubter to right field to make it 3-2. SBU would get one more back on a Colby Sneed homerun to left field in the 6^th but would come up short in the end falling 9-3.
 
Game Two
Cole Van Every drew the start in game two and was nearly forced out in the second inning after taking a line drive to his right leg but stayed in and went on to pitch 4 innings, striking out 3 and only walking 1. The Bearcats would go on to get 6 hits throughout the game but were unable to muster any runs off of those hits.
 
Blake Lutgen led the Bearcats at the plate on the day going 3 for 8 with a home run and two RBI's. Colby Sneed had the one other run with his homerun in the first game. Sam Avila also reached base three times in the first game for the Bearcats. Dalton Morrow pitched 5 and one third innings giving up 7 hits and striking 3 out.
