Kirksville, Mo. - The Bearcats fall to the number two team in the conference Truman St. on the road 59-83. This loss puts them at 19-7 (12-6 GLVC).

SBU struggled from the field early as the Bulldogs took an early 12-2 lead. SBU fought back with a three pointer by Juan Morales to make it 12-14.  A 13-3 run by the Bulldogs gave them a 12 point lead. The Bearcats kept fighting and made it a nine point game at halftime 30-39.

Truman St. took an early 11 point lead in the second half but six straight points by the Bearcats cut the deficit to 5. A quick run by the Bulldogs gave them a 16 point lead. During that duration the Bearcats could not buy a bucket as they had many shots at the rim but did not fall. SBU continued to fight but could bring the game back within reach and fell 59-83. 

Mitch Ganote led the way for the Bearcats with 12 points going 5-6 from the field. Damian Prgomet reached double digits with 11, as well as Quinn Nelson with 10. Ganote also led the way in rebounds with six, and assists with three. 

The Bearcats return home for their final two regular season games on Thursday February 27th and Saturday February 29th. On Thursday, they take on Rockhurst for their second matchup of the season. In their last meeting SBU fell 64-73. This game is also Best Western Day at the game so come support your Bearcats and win some prizes.
