Bolivar, Mo. – The Bearcats got started early at the plate but couldn't continue the hot hitting and ended up falling 5-16. This pushes the Bearcats record to 4-6 on the young season.
Winona State threatened in the top of the first but
Kyle Smith worked out of trouble to keep the Warriors scoreless. Southwest Baptist got on the board in the bottom half of the first with two errors by the Warriors leading to
Langdon Gordon scoring.
Colby Sneed would bring the Bearcats back to within 2 in the third with a solo home run to left field. SBU would get the bases loaded with 2 outs in the fourth and bring home the first run on a wild pitch. Sneed would come through once again with a bases clearing single to give the Bearcats the 5-4 lead. Winona State would bring in their reliever in the fifth and shut the Bearcats down for the remainder of the game.

Colby Sneed at the plate going 3 for 4 with 3 RBI's.
Blake Lutgen also contributed 2 hits in 4 plate appearances and 1 run.
Kyle Smith got the start on the mound, going 5 full innings and striking out 6. The Bearcats would pitch 6 players through the last 4 innings as well.
