Kansas City, Mo. - SBU fell on the road to a strong Rockhurst team 64-73 in the Mason-Haplin Field House in downtown Kansas City. This puts SBU at 18-6 (11-5 GLVC). 

Quinn Nelson knocked down a three in the first minute of the game to open up the scoring for the Bearcats. Mitch Ganote had a strong defensive start as he got two early steals to assist in the Bearcats early 15-8 lead. Quinn Nelson hit his second three of the game after a broken play to put SBU up 22-18 just before the 8 minute media timeout. SBU increased their lead to 29-20 with 5:30 to go in the half for their largest lead of the half. Rockhurst went on an 8-0 run before the Bearcats struck back to end the half 37-34. 

Joe Miller came out of half hitting his second three of the game for his 11th point of the game as the Bearcats led 45-40 at the first media. Miller then got an and-one lay up and knocks down the free throw to give them an eight point lead. Rockhurst then went on a 3-20 run to put them up 55-63 with 4:52 to go. The Bearcats fought back making it a six point game with 16 seconds to go. Their fight back fell short as the final score ended 64-73.

Joe miller got into double digits for the first time since their win at Missouri S&T in Rolla, Missouri scoring 13 points. Damian Prgomet joined him at 13 points and had 9 rebounds while Quinn Nelson also made double digits with 11. 

The Bearcats return home this Thursday as they take on the Quincy Hawks for the one and only time this season. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 PM in the Meyer Sports Center.
