Bolivar, Mo. – Southwest Baptist couldn't quite pull off the comeback and eventually fell to Rockhurst 49-73. This pushes the Bearcats to 0-4 (0-4 GLVC) for the season.
Scoring for both teams came at a minimum in the first half. Southwest Baptist went down early, trailing 16-8 after the first quarter.
Regan Tibbits would get two free throws to fall to start the second followed by a response from the Hawks to make it an 11-point game.
Kyleigh Vaught and
Brylee Graddy would get a 7-0 run by themselves to cut the Hawk lead back down to just 4. The Bearcats would go into half trailing 19-31. SBU had a solid third quarter to try and mount a comeback, shooting 45% from the field. Rockhurst would end up taking the game by a final score of 49-73.
Kyleigh Vaught led the Bearcats with 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Mary Rose Foster would bring in some spark off the bench with 4-9 shooting for 8 points.

Kyleigh Vaught both grabbed 6 rebounds for the Bearcats. As a team the Bearcats ended the game with 16 free throws on 19 attempts.
