Indianapolis, Ind. - SBU struck their first road loss in six games as they fell to the University of Indianapolis 78-97. The Bearcats picked up four wins on this tough five game stretch to bring their record to 14-4 (7-3 GLVC). 

The Bearcats started the game on a defensive stand allowing only 2 points in the first 3:56 of the game. SBU's first point came off a Brady Smith free throw. The game went back and forth with SBU leading 12-9 with 10:52 remaining in the half. The Bearcats turned the ball over six straight times and the Greyhounds took a 14-23 lead. SBU cut the lead to five at one point but ended the half down 27-47.

Godfrey Rolle started the second half out strong, hitting two three pointers in the first four minutes of the game. A third three pointer from Rolle brought the deficit to 16 with 12:54 remaining in the game. The Bearcats were unable to cut the lead to less than that due to a hot three point shooting Greyhounds team. University of Indianapolis hit 14 three's as the Bearcats fell on the road 78-97.

Damian Prgomet and Godfrey Rolle both finished the game with 16 points. Mitch Ganote was right behind them with 13 points. Six other Bearcats put points up on the scoreboard on this tough road matchup. 

SBU comes back to Bolivar for four straight home games starting this Thursday. The Bearcats look to sweep the Saints as they take on Maryville University, tip-off scheduled for 7:30 PM on Thursday January 30. SBU won the last matchup between these two 89-72.
