Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU Volleyball team hosted the Lindenwood Lions in their home opener, which was also their conference opener. This conference opener is very unique, as both teams were also in the same conference last season – the MIAA. The Lions took all three sets, pushing the Bearcats record to 2-11 (0-1 GLVC).
 
Lindenwood won the first set 25-20 and the second set 25-18. The third set took extra points, but the Lions won it 27-25 after coming back from down 12-17. Leading both teams in kills was Rebecca Rabius, collecting 14 in the match. Delanie Tipton had 2 blocks and Makenzie Bouse finished with 32 assists. Lindsey Barton had double digit digs, 11 on the night.
 
The Bearcats continue conference play on Saturday, September 28 with another home match against the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Game time is set for 3 PM.
