Kingsville, Tex. – Southwest Baptist faced off against Texas A&M Kingsville and Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. They dropped the first game against TAMUK in three sets and then dropped the last game against Edinboro in 4 sets.
Match 1 vs. Texas A&M Kingsville
The Bearcats were down early but made a comeback in the first set but unfortunately couldn't finish it off falling 25-19. SBU attempted a comeback in the next two sets but ended up falling 25-19 and 25-20 in the final two sets.
Rebecca Rabius led the team with 17 kills as well as
Kylie Talbott leading the team with 4 aces and 13 digs.
Makenzie Bouse contributed 32 assists as well.
Match 2 vs. Edinboro
Southwest Baptist dropped the first set 25-22 but came back and won the second set 25-19. SBU dropped the final two sets 25-18 and 25-15 to finish up the match.
Rebecca Rabius led the team in kills once again with 16 kills.
Sydney Ernsbarger contributed 3 blocks to lead the team as well.
Makenzie Bouse led the team in assists as well with 39.
The Bearcats will be back in action for a tournament in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
