Bolivar, Mo. - SBU Men's Tennis defeated Harding in the final round of the NCAA Central Region 4-0 and punched their ticket to the NCAA DII Nationals in Orlando, Florida.
In doubles,
David Szeri and
Carlos Corser gave the Bearcats the lead by winning on court #3 6-2.
Raul Caballero and
Max Sanoja clinched the doubles point by winning their match on court #2 6-2.
Adham Gaber and
Gyorgy Agoston stopped their match at 5-4Â since SBU had already won the doubles point.Â
In singles,
David Szeri added another point for the Bearcats with a huge performance by beating his opponent on court #4 in two straight sets.
Raul Caballero secured his single point by winning on court #2 6-4, 6-3.
Adham Gaber clinched his match and gave the Bearcats the victory by beating his opponent in the final set 6-3.Â
SBU Men's Tennis extends their winning streak to 11 games in a row, surpassing last year's winning streak of 10 games. The Bearcats will be back in action in the NCAA DII Nationals Sweet Sixteen in Orlando, Florida. SBU's opponent in the first round of Nationals will be known on Wednesday, May 15.
