Oklahoma City, Okla. - SBU Women's Tennis advances to the Semifinal in the MIAA Conference Championship thanks to their win over the NSU Riverhawks 4-2.

In doubles, Diana Cabrera and Sarah Brown defeat their opponents on court #3 with a final score of 6-3. Constanca Crespo and Klara Vickov clinched the doubles point by winning on court #2, 6-4. Jill Van den Dungen and Dona Abohabaga ended their match with a score 5-5 since the Bearcats already claimed the doubles points.

In singles, Sarah Brown finished first by beating her opponent on court #6 in two straight sets 6-1, 6-1. Diana Cabrera added another point to the Bearcat lead, winning on court #4 also in two straight sets 7-5, 6-0 and making SBU one point away for the victory. The Riverhawks attempted a come back, winning on court #1 and court #5, bringing the score to 3-2 SBU. Constanca Crespo clinched her match and won the victory point for SBU by beating her opponent on court #2 in a final set of 6-3. 

The Bearcats now move on from the first round in the MIAA Conference Championship and will face the number one seeded Washburn tomorrow, April 27 at 2PM in Oklahoma City. A live stats link will be added to the schedule right before the game.
