Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU Bearcats claimed a big win against a tough opponent in UMSL Friday afternoon, beating them 4-3.
In doubles, UMSL won all the three doubles matches to take the lead 1-0.
In singles, Junior Jill Van Den Dungen tied the score 1-1 after winning on court # 1. Sophomore
Constanca Crespo gave the lead to the Bearcats after beating her opponent 6-1 in the third set. UMSL tied the score after winning on court #6. Senior
Klara Vickov had a tough battle on court #2, she managed to win her match 7-5 in the third set after a 2 hour and half match. Sophomore
Diana Cabrera clinched the match for the Bearcats after winning in two straight sets on court #4. UMSL won their third point on court # 5.
The SBU Women's team will be back in action on Monday when take on Texas A&M Kingsville in San Antonio, Texas. The game is set to start at 9 am.
