San Antonio, Tex. - SBU women's tennis captured their first win on their trip to San Antonio. The beat Texas A&M Kingsville with a score of 4-2.

In doubles, the Javelinas won the first match on court # 3. Freshman Diana Cabrera and Sophomore Constanca Crespo tied the score after winning on court #2. The doubles point came down to court #1 when Senior Klara Vickov and Junior Jill Van Den Dungen won their match 7-5 to give the Bearcats the lead 1-0 after doubles.

In singles, the Javelinas tied the score 1-1 after winning on court #6. Sophomore Constanca Crespo have SBU the lead after winning on court #3. Freshman Diana Cabrera added the third point after winning her match in two straight sets on court #4. The Javelinas added the second point after winning in a third set on court #5. Junior Jill Van Den Dungen clinched the match for the Bearcats after winning 7-6 in the third set on court #1.

The SBU women's tennis team will be back in action tomorrow when they take on Tarleton in San Antonio, TX. The game is set to start at 9:30 am.
