Bolivar, Mo - The Bearcats dropped the final game of the series with Northwest Missouri State 2-1 in a well pitched battle. The loss dropped them to a 8-10 (3-6 MIAA) record for the year.

Kyle Smith had another good start going 6 and one third innings only giving up 5 hits and one run.
Hunter Hisky got SBU on the board first with a bomb to right field in the 3rd. Northwest Missouri got a few runners on in the 7th but
Adam White came in and shut the door on them to keep the score at one a piece.

SBU got to the Bearcats starter in the 8th drawing 3 walks to load the bases but were unable to capitalize on the situation. Northwest Missouri State got the bases loaded again in the top of the 9th but
Adam White shut the door again only allowing one run.

Hunter Hisky led the Bearcats at the plate going 2 for 3 with a home run. SBU will be back in action at home again on March 12 at 3:00 against Lewis University.
