San Antonio, Tex. - SBU Men's tennis finished their long week in San Antonio with a victory against St Mary's University with the score of 5-2 and improve their overall season record to 8-2.
In doubles, Sophomore
Carlos Corser and
David Szeri won the first doubles match on court #3. Closely after, Senior
Gyorgy Agoston and junior
Ferenc Agoston secured the doubles point after winning on court #2. St Mary's won the remaining doubles on court #1.
In singles, Sophomore
Carlos Corser and Freshman
Adham Gaber added two more to the Bearcats after winning on court #5 and court #2 in two straight sets. Senior
Gyorgy Agoston clinched the match to SBU after winning his match in two close sets on court #4. St Mary's University got their first point after Winning on court #1. Sophomore
David Szeri added the fifth point to the Bearcats after winning on court #4 6-3 in the third set. The second and last point of St Mary's came from court #6 after winning 10-8 in a super tie break.
The SBU Men's Tennis will be back in Action on Wednesday March 20 when they travel to play against Rockhurst University. The match is set to start at 3:00 pm.
