Springfield, Mo. - Southwest Baptist kept the deficit to 13 at the half but ended up falling late 58-93. This loss pushes the Bearcats record to 4-3 (0-1 GLVC) on the year.
Drury started the game out on a 7-0 run to take a quick lead but a layup by
Bailey Rezabek sparked a 9-2 run that tied the game back up at 9. Rezabek ended up with 4 points in the quarter to lead the Bearcats. SBU struggled from deep in the first half going 0-8 but Rezabek held steady scoring 10. The Bearcats were near perfect from the line going 8-9 in the first half.
Sydney Bandy had a strong half on the boards, grabbing a total of 5 rebounds and one of them being offensive.Â
The Bearcats started out cold but shifted the momentum with some key defensive stops and 6 unanswered points. SBU kept it tight during the third quarter with some timely defense, causing 5 turnovers in the third. Rezabek ended the game with 17 total points and 6 rebounds.
Brylee Graddy also contributed 8 points to the cause and 2 rebounds.
