Mayaguez, Puerto Rico - The Bearcats wrapped up their  trip to Puerto Rico with a low-scoring victory over Puerto Rico-Mayaguez 53-42. The win boosts SBU to a 6-3 record.

Although the game ended in just an 11 point victory, the Bearcats outscored their opponent in every quarter. Jumping out to a 17-12 lead gave the Bearcats the momentum, continuing to build off of that and take a 33-24 lead into the half. SBU made three 3's in the third to hang on to the lead, as both teams struggled to find the basket in the fourth. Puerto Rico-Mayaguez really struggled from beyond the arc, going 0-10 from deep. 

Bailey Rezabek led the way yet again, scoring 23 points on 9 field goals and snagged 8 rebounds. Regan Tibbits also contributed 9 points and 9 rebounds. 

The Bearcats return home for a break until January 2 where they will face McKendree in conference play. Game time is scheduled for 5:30 PM in Lebanon, IL.
