Bolivar, Mo. – The Bearcats welcomed the Bobcats of the College of the Ozarks to the Meyer Center Tuesday night for a battle of the Cats. The Bearcats would force four games but would ultimately fall at the hands of the visitors. The loss moves SBU to 4-21 (0-9 GLVC) on the year.

SBU would start the night on an ace by Makenzie Bouse but the visiting Bobcats came ready to play. After battling back and forth, SBU would use a 9-3 run to collect the first game 25-20. In the second set, the two teams battled point for point. SBU led 24-21 before the Bobcats would rattle off five straight kills to give C of O the set two victory. The Bearcats would rack up nine attack errors in the third set that would lead to a 25-22 C of O set win. The Bearcats would come out roaring to a 16-9 lead in the fourth set. C of O would subsequently rattle off six straight points. Both Cats would match point for point until the Bobcats would take the deciding fourth set despite 8 blocks from SBU. Freshman Sydney Ernsbarger would lead the Bearcats with 19 kills followed by Greyson Roster with 12. Makenzie Bouse was finding teammates with ease to tally a career high 51 assists. Kylie Talbott would chip in 21 digs on the game.

The Bearcats will continue conference play Friday at 7 PM in Rolla, Missouri as they take on the Miners of Missouri S&T.
