Southwest Baptist University Athletics

Kristian Wilkinson is entering her first year as a full-time senior athletic trainer for Southwest Baptist University Athletic Training Department. She is currently responsible for the healthcare of sport teams and administration/organization of the athletic training department.

Wilkinson previously served as the healthcare provider for the Missouri State women’s soccer program during the 2021 and 2022 season. During the 2022 year, they won the Missouri Valley Conference Championship. Prior to that, she covered the successful Missouri State women’s basketball program during their 2017-2020 championship seasons. During her time with women’s basketball, they went into the NCAA playoffs several years with two appearances in the Sweet Sixteen.  Wilkinson was also the head athletic trainer at Coffeyville Community College from 2014-2017. Prior to that, she provided athletic trainer services for women’s volleyball and baseball teams here at Southwest Baptist University.

The Bolivar native earned her undergraduate degree from Southwest Baptist University in 2012. In 2014 she completed her M.S. in Athletic Training at MSU while assisting with the development of the new entry level Master's program. She is a BOC certified athletic trainer and member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association. 

Kristian and her husband, Shane, reside on a beautiful farm in Halfway, MO,  with their handsome, full of energy 2-year-old son, Henry. They look forward to growing their family and farm animals every year.
