David is heading into his fourth year (2024-25) as Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations/events.
As the Sports Information Director (SID) for the athletics department, David oversees the website, social media, graphic design, stream, and statistics for every varsity level team. He also began a new group on campus called Digital Media Athletic Committee (DMAC's). DMAC's is a group of students who volunteer their time to enhance the media of Bearcat Athletics while gaining valuable real life experience that is resume worthy. These students help in areas such as journalism, photography, videography, graphic design, and social media. There were 18 volunteer students in DMAC's during Spring of 2025, the semester of its inception.
Prior to being the SID, he was an office and event administrator in the department for two years. David hired game workers, communicated with visiting teams and officials, scheduled promotions and game day talent and managed the athletics department’s student worker program. In addition, David was a key part of everyday operations in the Athletics department as the Office Manager. He assisted with compliance, scheduling of facilities and other day-to-day office department needs. In addition, he worked with the GLVC to head up the department’s Character Plus program.
Before becoming Office and Event Administrator, David served as a Graduate Assistant for the SBU Athletics Department (2018-2020). As a member of the Athletics Department, David assisted in key parts of gameday and event operations.
Prior to becoming a Graduate Assistant at SBU, David spent four years in undergraduate school at SBU as a student assistant for the Men’s Basketball team. He graduated in May of 2018 with a Bachelors in Psychology with Sports Performance Enhancement and a Minor in Counseling. During his final semester, David was a student manager for Fresh Ideas at Mellers’ cafe. He has also been closely interacted with the Bolivar community, working at Creator Designs and Bolivar High School football games.
David was born in Indianapolis, Indiana but grew up in St. Peters, Missouri. In his hometown he worked closely with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at his high school.
