Kortney Schutt is joining the track and field team as a Graduate Assistant Coach this season (2020-21). Schutt graduated from Friends University with a Bachelor’s in Religion and Philosophy. While at Friends, Schutt specialized in hammer, weight, shot put, and discus. She was an NAIA All-American in the weight throw (2020) and earned multiple all-conference honors in the other throwing events.

Schutt is a native of Haysville, Kansas where she graduated from Campus High School. She began her throwing career there.

While at SBU, Schutt will be pursuing a Master’s degree in Christian Ministry.
