Brittney Dukes will begin her ninth season (2022-23) as a full time member of the SBU Women's Basketball coaching staff. She served as the Assistant Coach for six seasons and is entering her third season as the Associate Head Coach. She also previously served as the Graduate Assistant for women’s basketball for two seasons.

“Coach Dukes has played a major role in the development of our team over the years.” Head Coach Kelsey Keizer said, “I am so proud to have a former Bearcat on my coaching staff. She is loyal to SBU and is a tremendous role model for our players on and off the court. Our team benefits from her competitiveness and work ethic.”

Brittney graduated from Southwest Baptist in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Pyschology.  During her time as a student at SBU, Dukes played on the Women’s Basketball team for two seasons.  She earned MIAA All-Conference Honorable Mention honors in both her Junior and Senior seasons.  Over her two seasons, Brittney scored 667 points for the Bearcats, averaging 12.8 points per game.  Prior to coming to SBU, Brittney earned her Associate of Arts degree from Trinity Valley Community College in 2011. Brittney, a native of Bossier City, Louisiana currently resides in Bolivar, Missouri.
